9 Months

This is what I see when I walk in his room (but now he is standing). How cute!

I can't believe that Will is nine months old. He is such a big boy. He had his checkup on Monday and weighs 19 pounds. Meg weighed about 21 pounds at nine months so he is a little smaller than her, but everyone comments on how big he is. He is so happy to be crawling. Since Christmas, his favorite thing to do is just crawl around and explore. I can put him downstairs and he will crawl around for hours playing with toys. For the past week or so he has been pulling himself up on everything and climbing on everyone. He loves to be manhandled by his sister (and she loves to manhandle him). Sometimes I think she is being a little too rough, but when you look at his face, he is smiling and squealing with delight. It is really fun to watch your kids play together. We love him so much and are so lucky to have such a happy boy in our family.

Christmas 2008

I am a little late at posting this, but thought better late than never. We had a great Christmas. Christmas Eve we went to a party at my Aunt Lori's house. Meg had so much fun because two of my cousins have young kids too and she got to run around and be crazy with them. She was completely wired by the time we got home, but she and Will finally went to bed just in time for Santa to come. The kids woke up around 7:30 on Christmas morning. It was so fun to see Meg's face light up as she opened her presents. The biggest thing she got this year was a kitchen, but she didn't really give it a second look until later that night. She got some more cars from the movie Cars and also received Mack the semi. She got a little piano which she has loved. Will got some books and toys. After opening our presents we went to my parents for a delicious breakfast and got to spend the morning and afternoon with them and Brian and Kara too. It was so fun. Meg and Will were completely spoiled and they both just wanted to play all day. We headed home, thinking that we were going to get a nap in, but found our house covered in a snow drift. The kids were asleep in the car so Dave and I dug our house out and then headed to Jim and Sarah's for more family fun. We had dinner there and opened more presents. Meg LOVES her cousins so she had a great time playing there. We finally headed home, bathed the kids and then let the kids play with all of their new toys. Meg played and played and finally Will and I were ready for bed. Meg stayed up with Dave and finally gave in and went to bed around 10:00. We had a wonderful day with our family.
