Meg Turns 2

Today our sweet little girl turned two years old. We had a little pool party for her yesterday (Saturday) and had a great time. I have been prepping her for her big day for awhile now. Whenever I would sing Happy Birthday to her she would say, "No, Mommy birthday." She's so funny sometimes. We had a great day. We had cupcakes and ice cream, opened presents and then went swimming in our clubhouse pool. Meg was really excited to swim, especially with her Grandpa.

We love Meg so much and are so happy that we get to have her in our family. She has such a spunky little personality. She loves to sing and dance. Today, she started singing the hymns at church (her own words, of course) very loudly. She loves animals and has to carry some sort of animal with her at all times. She especially loves monkeys. She loves the tv show and movie, Curious George. I found some little underwear with Curious George on them and am hoping that they might get her interested in potty training (one can only hope). She is a very sweet girl and loves everyone. Her nursery teachers tell us that she hugs the other kids in class until they both topple over and then they laugh their heads off. If someone is crying she will pat their head and say, "No cry." She is a very nice big sister and loves her baby brother. She is very kind to him. She kicked him accidentally one day and made him cry. I told her to apologize to him and she wouldn't. I left the room and I could hear her say, "I sorry baby, I sorry." It was so cute. Meg loves apple juice, beans, tomato soup and fruit (especially mangoes and blueberries). She loves shoes and is constantly trying someone's shoes on (mine, Dave's, Will's, anyone whose shoes are off). She has pink snow boots that she insists on wearing. Dave hid them in our closet since it's summer and she found them and came out wearing them saying, "Look Daddy, boots.". She loves to swim and is getting to be very daring in the pool. She is so beautiful. Whenever we are out in public we get comments from strangers on how cute she is. I think it's because she looks people right in the eyes and smiles or says hi. She is such a joy to be around and makes our home such a happy place. We love our little Meggie Bug. Happy Birthday!!!

Meg loving her 'Baby brother' (he is rarely called Will). She is very protective of him. If someone is holding him that she isn't so sure about, she will cry and say "My baby!" until he is given back.

Gotta love snow boots in August.

Bean mustaches are the best!

How fun to get caught up! Your kids are darling! We're sad that the Johnsons are moving out of our house, because now we won't have as good of a connection with the ward...you'll have to keep me updated on your blog!
